I graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1999 and started law school at the University of Denver the following year. I have been licensed in Colorado since 2003 and have focused exclusively on consumer bankruptcy and debt settlement. Unlike many other bankruptcy attorneys, I do not represent creditors in any capacity. I enjoy what I do and get a deep sense of satisfaction from protecting my clients from abusive debt collectors and helping them obtain the fresh start they deserve, after their financial hardship is resolved.

THOMAS J. BRAHAM

Thomas J. Braham grew up in Northbrook, IL, just north of Chicago. He earned a full-ride Evans Scholarship to The University of Colorado- Boulder,  where he studied English Literature.  After opening and running Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Shops north of Chicago, a zoning variance dispute led to law school.  Thomas actively contributed to his Moot Court Program, traveled with the team to Dallas for a National Competition, and worked at the law library while attending Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.  His final 10 law school credits were earned in a ABA Externship while working and researching at The Colorado Supreme Court Library.  While studying for the Colorado Bar Examination, he law clerked in Adams County Court, for Judge Sabino Romano.  After his clerkship, he worked for a high-volume downtown Denver Bankruptcy Firm, and looks forward to more personal and hands-on experience at a small boutique bankruptcy law firm.  Thomas has rock climbed throughout the west from big walls in Yosemite, the Grand Teton, and ice routes in Ouray, but his favorite climbs are in this backyard here in Colorado.  On his free time Thomas loves to read, and he has a wonderful girlfriend who is, naturally enough, since they met at the library, in the DU Masters Program studying to be a librarian.
