Meet Attorney Mark P. Yablon
I am a trial attorney who earnestly desires that my clients win—big! I founded Yablon Law to be the client-centered law firm I would hire or recommend to my mother or children.
Unlike most attorneys, I had a business life for a few decades before law school. I owned and operated a commercial real estate redevelopment partnership in Historic Downtown McKinney while operating a nationwide financial services practice affiliated with Northwestern Mutual, Guardian, American Funds, and other powerhouses.
I helped businesses relocate to my renovated office, retail, and restaurant properties. And I guided families and entrepreneurs on creating their investment, risk management, and business & estate plans and helped them carry out their wishes and ease their fears.
I am a veteran-heavy equipment operator of the U.S. Naval Reserve SEABEES (the world-famous Navy Construction Battalion personified by John Wayne movies), and I have years of experience as a public speaker, journalist, restaurant owner, photographer, paralegal/law clerk, and now podcaster.
Today, I am a growing leader in the legal community. I am an Editorial Board member, writer, and podcaster for Houston Bar Association’s Houston Lawyer Magazine and Behind the Lines: The Houston Lawyer Podcast. I speak to civic groups on legal matters as part of HBA’s Speakers Bureau. I am active on the Bench-Bar Committees of the HBA and Dallas Bar Association, and I am engaged with The Federalist Society, Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Collin County Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, and more.
Combining my prior life with my more recent legal knowledge, experience, and skills gives me a competitive advantage over the opposition because I understand businesses, business owners, and families. And I care about my clients. I zealously advocate for them and earnestly desire that they win!
I’m a proud graduate of Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University where I double majored in business and journalism. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law. And I’m pleased to say I earned a 4.0 as a visiting law student at The University of Texas School of Law.

My oldest daughter graduated from Cox School of Business at S.M.U. and works in marketing and photography from Mexico City. My two middle daughters graduated from Baylor University (Journalism and Education). One works in marketing and social media from Park Cities nestled in Dallas. The other teaches English in Prosper ISD, and she and her husband had my first grandson in 2023. My youngest daughter is a marketing major at Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University. So far, all four have indicated a strong desire NOT to practice law! But there still is plenty of time….
